Krakow National Museum – was created in 1879. The Museum includes several buildings scattered around the city. It houses different galleries, both with permanent and temporary exhibitions. Gallery of Polish Arms and Uniforms – includes a large collection of military equipment. It opened in 1991, and you can see key events and some of the leading figures in Polish history. Gallery of 20th century Polish Art – the largest exhibition of this type, it was designed in 2005. It presents examples of Polish Art from 1900 onwards. You can also see paintings by Wojciech Weiss, Jóżef Pankiewicz or Olga Boznańska. Decorative Arts and Crafts gallery – opened in December 1998; the oldest and most valuable artefact is the Wrocław goblet. It also holds temporary exhibitions such as: Main building: Tel. collection in Poland.
Visits: Sunday- free admission for permanent exhibitions – 10am to 2pm. From 1st July until 31st August: Admission (permanent exhibitions): Collegium Maius – the oldest building of Krakow Academy (after Jagiello University), it was built around 1400. The Gothic style building You can see exhibitions devoted to astronomy, one of the most interesting exhibits being, in our opinion, the ancient globe with the contours of the Americas.
